Details: Wonderful and rare Bensons Confections candy tin, manufactured for the United States Line SS United States ocean liner. A perfect addition for the collector, featuring graphics on the lid of the liner at sea and confections around the sides of the sides. 

Built between 1950 and 1951, the now retired SS United States is the largest ocean liner constructed entirely in the United States, and the fastest ocean liner to cross the Atlantic in either direction. The ship retains the Blue Riband for the highest average speed since her maiden voyage in 1952, and still holds the title today.
