The name "Elfinware" was coined by Breslauer- Underberg, Inc. of New York in 1947, for Dresden-like porcelain items sold in dime stores.  These pieces were decorated with 3-dimensional porcelain flowers and "moss".  Elfinware pieces were made during the 1920s and 1930s, but those marked "Elfinware Germany" were sold by Breslauer-Underberg, an importer, starting in 1945.
