About the artist:
Eldon Kitson Vanderwal (1943-2014)
Well known and respected Seagrove, NC potter and face jug artist. Worked out of his Lantern Hill pottery studio. Known for face jugs (which were known to be properly ugly) and Yeungling beer bottle glass infused traditional pottery.
Vanderwal was a full time potter from 1998 until his untimely death by murder in 2014.
