Condition: Fair pre-owned vintage condition. A number of dents, dings, and scrapes. Still quite functional with good silver coverage. Please see photos.
Details: Large silverplate pitcher with hinged lid and white metal lining. The body of the pitcher is machine engraved in varying wavy and braided patterns with an engraved cartouche under the spout. Applied spout heavily decorated in floral and shell motifs on underside, sheathed on top. Applied handle is Arabesque shaped with foliate design and small grape cluster where it joins body of pitcher at top. Domed lid is topped by a crouching bear finial. Various hand-incised on bottom with no maker's mark.
