Details: White porcelain display plates with wide cornflower-blue rims, trimmed on inner and outer edges with gold & white scrolls. Centers feature hand-painted Italianate scenes of manor houses or castles in landscapes with water features. Marked on back "W. ADAMS & SONS STOKE-UPON-TRENT" in dark red. Also marked in hand-drawn numerals 7021.
William Adams & Sons began producing porcelain around 1769. The Stoke-upon-Trent factories were closed in 1863. The company was absorbed by Wedgwood in 1966.
