Condition: Very good pre-owned vintage condition. Both towels have a slightly pink hue, one is in near mint condition otherwise, the other additionally has a few spots and thins spots/ tears. Signs of wear are consistent with age and use. Please see photos.
Details: Pair of bath towels used in the cabins aboard the SS United States. Both were manufactured by Dundee and have a manufacturer tag in the corner on the back side.
Built between 1950 and 1951, the now retired SS United States is the largest ocean liner constructed entirely in the United States, and the fastest ocean liner to cross the Atlantic in either direction. The ship retains the Blue Riband for the highest average speed since her maiden voyage in 1952, and still holds the title today.
