Item: Samovar/Tea Urn

Make: Dan Holy, Parker & Co (Sheffield, England)

Age: Circa 1810

Construction: Silver Plated Copper

Dimensions: 17 1/2" Tall x 14 1/4" Wide x 12" Wide

Condition: Very good pre-owned antique condition. The body of the samovar leans somewhat to one side. The spigot has some corrosion on the handle where the plating has worn away and is bent slightly to one side. A few tiny dings and minor silver loss throughout, more noticeably on the base of the samovar. Please see photos.

Details: Antique English silverplate samovar with lion's head handles, lion's foot legs supporting the body, hand chased crest with a boar in the center, and rectangular base resting on four bun feet. The lid is rectangular in shape and topped with an acorn finial. No markings found, however based on our research and experience we feel confident this is a piece by Dan Holy, Parker & Co. of Sheffield England.
