Details: Flared, oblong vase constructed of heavy crystal with two rosebud handles and signed "Daum France" near the bottom at the bases edge.
Founded by Jean Daum in 1878, the manufacturer is known for its pâte de verre (glass paste) process involving packing crushed glass into a mold where it is fused in a kiln. The company is connected to the Art Nouveau movement and collaborated with artists such as George Braque and Salvador Dali. A collection of Daum's work is housed at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Nancy, France.
