Condition: Very good antique condition. Some wear and patina to sheath and handle as well as tarnish on steel blades. Please see photos.
Details: Heavy multi-purpose scissors with steel blades and decorative brass handles. Anthropomorphic faces form outside curves of finger grips, further decorated with scroll curves above and below. Sheath is decorated with neo-classical elements of acanthus leaves and fluting. One side of sheath depicts the Greek goddess Athena in an arched alcove, the other side is centered by an oval cartouche trimmed with beading and scrolls. A Classically-inspired female face is framed by the trefoil terminus at the end of the sheath. Sheath appears to be lined with felt.
