European Petit Point Evening Purse & Coin Purse

Age:  Early 20th Century

Construction:  Wool Petit Point, Gold-Tone Metal Frame & Chain, Suede Cloth Lining

Dimensions:  6 1/2" Tall x 7 1/2" Long x 3/4" Wide

Condition: Very good pre-owned vintage condition.  Minor discoloration of metal frame. Small hole in corner of coin purse; Please see photos. 

Details:  Classically shaped evening purse with rounded bottom, metal frame and gold-tone metal chain.  Rococo floral design in reds, pinks, blues, yellows and purples on cream bordered by gold Rococo curves and a black background.  A 3/4" floral garland panel runs around bottom of bag from hinge to hinge.  Sea piped with gold bullion.  31" long gold-tone chain attaches with spring clasps at corners of frame.  Bag is lined with black suede-like fabric, open inner pocket on each side.  Includes tiny black & rose jacquard coin purse with metal clasp frame, lined in faded rose.
