Edwardian Silver Plated Hat Pin Stand

Construction:  Electroplated Nickel Silver, Velvet

Dimensions:  5 1/2" Tall x 2 3/8" Wide x 2 1/2" Deep

Condition:  Excellent vintage condition. Some breakdown in velvet in center of base. Wear commensurate with age & use. Please see photos. 

Details:  A slender silver plated post topped with a silver plated ball is surrounded by a rosette formed by 4 open hearts connected by further silver scallops.  The post ends in a velvet-covered cushion at the center of a silver-plated horseshoe. The base and cushion are covered by blue velvet.  On one side, the horseshoe is marked "EPNS" for electroplated nickel silver, and "REG-565716", probably a design or model number. Some visible wear on velvet and horseshoe.
