Details: This is a rare and older example of Virginia Metalcrafters, dating to around 1938 when they first started creating items under that name. The cat is constructed of two molded cast iron halves screwed together, marked “1” and “2” on the inside of each plate. It is also hallmarked on the underside with the VMC foundry mark, as well as item numbers 18-24.
