Details: a traditional Chinese mechanical fertility charm, beautifully preserved in original antique condition. These interactive pieces were traditionally gifted to newlyweds as playful, auspicious tokens to bless a marriage with fertility, virility, and male heirs.
This is a gravity-operated "trick" piece. When tilted, an engineered internal weighted rod slides smoothly forward, causing the anatomically correct phallus to extend outward from the figure. When tilted back, it cleanly retracts. The internal mechanism is 100% intact and functions perfectly.
The dual-sided design embodies the union of Yin and Yang. One side depicts a smiling boy or child (Tongzi), while the reverse shows a corresponding female figure.
