Above this, a fitting for two lightbulbs sits on a round platform. A slightly tapered round shade, black lined with black/gold marble, is positioned to give the appearance of three candles under a common shade. An antiqued gold bud and acanthus leaf finial adds the final touch. Brown cord with thumbwheel switch. Shade included.
The bouillotte lamp gets its name from the card game "Bouillotte", popular in 18th France. These lamps were designed with a central rod that allowed the shade to be raised and lowered to focus candlelight on the cards and table during play.
