A beautiful, highly collectible late-Victorian era parlor mantel clock produced by the renowned The E. Ingraham & Co. out of Bristol, Connecticut. This is the scarce and visually stunning "Cadet" model, instantly recognizable by its distinct architectural peaked silhouette, deeply incised hand-guided design accents, and ornate crown.
Condition & Mechanical Function:
  • Movement: Features a robust 8-day mechanical brass movement that is fully functional. It is currently running well and keeping good time!
  • Chimes: Strikes beautifully and accurately on the hour in sync with the time track.
  • Case & Woodwork: The solid American Black Walnut case is in excellent structural condition. It boasts crisp Eastlake geometric accents, linear fluting on the outer columns, and the signature eight 5-point stars engraved flanking the central triangular face frame. The top peak features the iconic stylized flame/palmette cresting alongside concentric turned bullseye medallions on the shoulders.
  • Dial & Glass: Features an original cream paper dial face set into a solid walnut backdrop ringed by a polished brass bezel. The lower cabinet door contains its beautiful, crisp white stenciled/acid-etched glass pattern revealing the pendulum swing.
  • Authentication: Features the original factory text stamp sharply impressed directly into the raw interior wood base of the clock floor reading: "Manufactured by The E. Ingraham & Co., Bristol, Conn."
