Herend "Rothschild Bird" Salt & Pepper Shakers

Condition:  Excellent pre-owned condition. No evident signs of use or wear. Please see photos. 

Details:  The perfect addition to a Herend collection, or any festive table. These small, egg-shaped shakers sit on porcelain screw-on bases that are also the stoppers.  Each shaker is painted on one side with a pair of birds perched on twigs with a beaded necklace somewhere among the branches. The reverse sides are each decorated with a butterfly or other insect.  Both shakers have one hole in the top, the salt shaker is also pierced on the reverse side with 9 holes in a diamond pattern. The bases have a narrow gold band near the bottom edge.  Marked on bottom with Herend's blue mark, and hand-numbered 260/RO 136 and 250/RO 153.
