Condition: Very good pre-owned antique condition. Very fine crazing on all of the pieces. One cup with a small chip on the foot. One cup with minor gold loss. One saucer with significant staining on the bottom and one saucer with a minor stain in the center. Please see photos.
Details: Set of demitasse cups and saucers with gold encrusted rims on white bone china. rims feature a band of scrolls and half flowers inside a smaller band of hearts. Bottoms of all pieces are marked with the pattern/model number "H1426", and most all are stamped with the Minton hallmark along with "Manufactured for Higgins & Seiter New York".
This pattern would pair wonderfully with Minton's pattern H1886 as well, which showcases the same band of scrolls and half flowers without the band of hearts.
Higgins & Seitter was a retailer and wholesaler of high-end china in New York in the late 19th century. They operated for about 50 years before closing their doors in 1915.
