Details: Long, low bird, similar in shape to a duck. Body is art glass in shades of gray with white spots and captured air bubbles. Tail and head are clear glass. Acid etched signature on bottom "O. Toikka, Nuutajarvi". Three silicone feet are attached to the bottom.

Oiva Toikka was an innovative Finnish artist, specializing in art glass in the "glass village" of Nuutajarvi for iitala. He also created designs for theater, fashion, and interiors. In 1993, he was given the honorary title of Professor of the Arts by the state of Finland. His birds are passionately sought after by collectors worldwide.
