Details: A rare pair of Victorian hat pins in the Etruscan Revival style. Etruscan Revival was a Victorian-era jewelry and design trend, mid-19th century, inspired by the rediscovery of ancient Italian treasures, particularly goldwork with distinctive filigree, and popularized by Italian jewelers like the Castellani family. Fueled by archaeological excavations and the "Grand Tour" phenomenon, the style blended complex ancient techniques with the ornate sensibilities of the Victorian era, leading to long-lasting design motifs that continue to influence modern jewelry.
