An incredibly rare, vintage 1940s-era Case XX 6332 Medium Stockman featuring a highly unusual, special factory tool/blade configuration.
While the reverse tang is clearly stamped with the classic 6332 pattern number, this knife does not feature the standard utility blade loadout. Instead, it was factory-fitted with elongated, narrow, sweeping specialized coping/grafting and pen blade profiles. This makes it an exceptional find for serious Case variant hunters and variation collectors.
Dating & Tang Stamps:
- Obverse (Front) Tang: Stamped with the early, clean CASE XX block logo (no dots or lines), placing production squarely in the highly collectible 1940s transition era.
- Reverse Tang: Clearly stamped 6332 (6 = Jigged Bone, 3 = Three Blades, 32 = Medium Stockman Frame).
Condition Details (Please Review Photos Carefully):
- Blades: Honest vintage used condition. Carbon steel blades show a beautiful, dark natural patina with visible sharpening wear and minor age-related pitting. No modern grinding or heavy buffing has been done to preserve the historical integrity.
- Handles: Stunning, deeply dyed vintage red jigged bone handles. The classic inlaid nickel silver Case shield is present on the front scale.
- Mechanics: The two bladed side retain their original backspring tension. The Single bladed side it opens and closes just fine but there is no backspring tension. All blades fit tightly without wobble.
