A pair of high-quality, authentic vintage brass fireplace andirons manufactured by the renowned Virginia Metalcrafters (often associated with their Harvin Co. line). These are incredibly well-crafted, heavy sand-cast brass pieces made in Waynesboro, Virginia. Stamped on bottom of brass, this model is often referred to as the Paul Revere style.
Design Features:
Classic Federal / Chippendale style aesthetic. Elegant polished urn-shaped finial on a square pedestal base. Curved cabriole legs ending in highly detailed ball-and-claw feet. Heavy-duty, original black iron log support rod, or billet bar, attached to the back.
Condition:
Excellent vintage pre-owned condition. The brass retains a beautiful, bright golden polish with a gentle, authentic aged patina in the crevices. The iron bars are sturdy with minimal surface rust consistent with age. No cracks, major dents, or structural damage. Please see photos.
