Details: The Francis I sterling pattern by Reed & Barton was introduced in 1907 with a design heavily influenced by French Renaissance art, with ornate handles featuring 15 different fruit and flower motifs. Designed by Ernest Myer, the pattern quickly became one of the company's most famous and valuable patterns and has been favored by nobility and presidents, including Presidents Wilson, Truman, and Eisenhower.

Each piece in this set is marked “STERLING” as well as with the Reed & Barton backstamp that was used after 1950. This pattern was discontinued in 2019.
