Don Quichotte (Don Quixote) Limoges Trinket Box

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or crazing. Please see photos. 

Details: Hinged porcelain trinket, made in the shape of a book. The body of the box is the the body of the book, with spine, back cover and pages. Lid is the front cover of the book, decorated with an Arabesque cartouche containing a multi-colored floral design, and inscribed in cursive lettering "Don Quichotte, Cervantes". The spine side of the box is inscribed in the same way.  Page edges picked out in touches of gold, all other edges lined with a narrow band of gold. A gilt bronze hinged frame fastens with a clasp in the form of musical instruments bound with ribbon.  Inside of 'cover' decorated with a pink rose with green fronds, inside bottom of box inscribed "... le moulin a' vent tournait" (...the windmill turns).  Marked on bottom in red with what appears to be intertwined capital letters D and L.
