Details: Hull Pottery, under the direction of Addis Emmet Hull, opened its doors in Crooksville, Ohio in 1905 . Early productions included basic utility stoneware and semi-porcelain dinnerware. The business quickly built a strong market and reputation for their high caliber ceramics.
One of the most popular and collectible art pottery lines from the company included vases like this one, primarily floral themed in matte pastel colors. Through the 1940's-1960's a flower bouquet delivered from a florist was often contained in Hull vase or pot. This piece features a knotted bow to one side, and a pastel floral design with a lilies and daisies. Makers mark and model are raised on the bottom reading "U.S.A. Hull Art, B-9 8 1/2".
