Invented by Louis Comfort Tiffany and trademarked in 1894, Favrile glass is known for it's iridescent finish, rich colors, and sophisticated forms. Derived from the old English word "fabrile", meaning "hand-wrought", Favrile glass stands apart from other iridescent glasses because the color is embedded within the glass itself.
