About the Author: Christina Catherine Fraser-Tytler was born on February 13th, 1848 in Bombay, India. She was the second of four daughters and after the death of her mother during childbirth in 1849, she and her sisters returned to live with their grandparents at Aldourie Castle on the shores of Lock Ness. In December of 1868, Christina's first book, Sweet Violet and Other Stories, was published and featured 6 illustrations by her sister Mary. Her literary career continued with the release of novels such as Jasmine Leigh (1871), Mistress Judith (1875), and Jonathan (1876), as well as poetry collections including Songs in Minor Keys (1884) and Songs of the Twilight Hours (1909). While her writings may not be widely recognized today, original copies of her books are rare treasures. Christina passed away in Puttenham, England in 1927.
