Condition: Very good vintage condition. The paper of the print has a warm tone consistent with age along with some light foxing. The mat appears clean and well preserved. The frame has a wonderful patina with minor scuffs on the gilt edges. The paper dust cover on the back is heavily torn and brittle with water staining along the bottom edge. Please see photos.
Details: Original color woodblock print title "Nocturne" by early 20th century American artist Heinrich Carl. The piece features a portrait of a dog rendered in rich, dark blue/green tones with a clean Arts & Crafts aesthetic. It is hand signed by the artist in pencil and bears his distinctive "G" monogram stamp in the lower left corner. Presented in a wide green/grey mat with with a gilt wooden frame. The reverse includes an original gallery label from Gate House Galleries.
