A beautifully preserved 20-piece multi-generational collection of Chinese Export Famille Rose porcelain in the highly collectible "Thousand Butterflies" pattern. Every piece features intricate, hand-painted polychrome butterflies, rich gold rims, and vibrant pink and green enamels.
What is Included in This 20-Piece Set:
- 6 Full-Size Dinner Plates (10 3/16”): Features the 1970s iron-red "Made in China" export hallmark. Highly desirable, hard-to-find full dining size.
- 6 Antique Salad / Bread & Butter Plates (6 3/8”): Authentic turn-of-the-century antiques featuring the rare, early 1891–1919 block "CHINA" hallmark (McKinley Tariff Act era). Exquisite fine detailing.
- 4 Covered Rice/Bouillon Bowls with Lids (3 7/8” diameter excluding handles):1970s export hallmark. All lids are present, matching, and intact.
- 4 Matching Porcelain Spoons (5 3/8”): 1970s export hallmark. Complete with traditional kiln spur marks on the reverse.
Condition: Excellent condition. This estate collection has been meticulously cared for and stored in a display cabinet. There are no cracks, hairline fractures, or chips aside from one tiny fleabite on the rim of one spoon. The colors are vibrant with only a few tiny areas of age appropriate paint loss on rims and edges. Please see photos.
Due to the delicate nature of the hand-applied gold leaf and overglaze enamels, these pieces should be hand-washed only and never placed in a microwave.
