About the Artist: Ann Mount was born in Atlanta during Great Depression. She had a passion for drawing and painting, even in childhood. At that time the opportunities for female career was not so good, especially in fine arts. So Ann started her education in architectural college, developing the skills of drawing buildings, which became a noticeable theme in her paintings. After graduation, she got married and started to draw advertisings for a local clothing store. Soon she gave up creating ads to pursue more creatively satisfying work and had her first gallery show in 1968. From then on Ann continued to paint and build a successful career as an artist.
