An authentic 19th-century antique pine washstand. This historic piece functions wonderfully in a modern home as a petite nightstand, bedside table, entryway accent, or end table.
Historical Authenticity & Construction:
The standout feature of this piece is its rare, machine-crafted Knapp joint (also known as a pin-and-cove or scallop joint) on the drawer sides. Because this revolutionary industrial joinery method was only utilized from roughly 1871 to 1900, it firmly dates the creation of this American-made piece to the late Victorian era.

Design Elements:
- Splashback & Towel Bars: Features a lovely curved wooden splashback panel on top and two functional wooden towel bars/handles flanking the sides.
- Two-Tier Storage: Offers a spacious upper deck and a lower shelf tier—perfect for showing off books, plants, or decorative items.
- Drawer: Includes a single pull-out drawer with a turned wooden knob, providing convenient concealed storage.
- Warm Patina: The solid pine showcases a gorgeous, warm honey-amber glow with beautiful natural wood grain throughout.
Dimensions:
- Width: 22 inches
- Depth: 13.75 inches
- Height: 32.5 inches
Condition:
Excellent antique condition overall. As expected with authentic 19th-century furniture, there are minor surface scuffs, character marks, and signs of age that only enhance its historic charm and provenance. The drawer slides smoothly, and the piece is structurally sound, sturdy, and ready for use. Please review all photos closely as they serve as part of the visual.
