Details: An exceptional, investment-grade antique sterling silver tea service crafted by S. Kirk & Son of Baltimore. This set features the highly coveted, deeply struck Pattern No. 474F, showcasing a dense display of hand-wrought roses, daisies, and trailing foliage set against a meticulously stippled background.
Unlike later production lines that relied on machine-stamping, the pieces in this service are explicitly stamped "HAND DECORATED". This confirms that the intense relief work was entirely hammered out from the inside (true repoussé) and finished from the exterior by a master artisan, leaving beautiful, organic variations between the pieces.
