Condition: Very good pre-owned antique condition. Minor wear and gold loss consistent with age. One plate has two chips, another plate has one chipped edge that has been smoothed. Please see photos.
Details: Set of nine antique Limoges, France porcelain plates. Each is square in shape with rounded, gold trimmed edges and showcases central scenes of cherubs/ fairies with pastel wings and floral sprays. The 1 1/2" plate rims are glazed in oxblood red with fine gold decoration of ivy clusters and bare vines. Each plate is marked on the back in green with "CFH" over "GDM" and "Ch. Field Haviland, Limoges" in a blue circle. This set features four different designs with two of each and one additional with a slight color variation in the cherub's wings.
The CFH over GDM stands for Charles Field Haviland and Gerard, Dufraisseix & Morel, a company absorbed by Haviland.
