Construction: Stoneware

Condition: Good pre-owned vintage condition. Wear and stains consistent with age and use. Bread and butter plate has considerable wear and crazing. Please see photos. 

Details: Mixed lot of vintage heavy restaurant-ware, produced by Shenango China in Newcastle Pennsylvania for the Straus Co. in Richmond, Virginia. All are in the "Surrey" pattern featuring an urn and garland design around the rim in blue. Plates are marked on the back with "Surrey Pattern, The Straus Co. Richmond, VA".
