Details: Known as a double-sided repoussé "Scroll" or "Victorian Swirl" design, this lovely piece features an ornate hollow handle with twisted elements, rococo scrolls, and floral accents identical on both sides.
During the Victorian era, strictly enforced dining etiquette dictated that handling food with bare fingers was improper. Special 3-prong servers (Toast/Bread Fork) like this were widely popular for picking up pieces of bread or toast from platters.
