Details: This set is a real boon for any collector of Depression Glass or Indiana Glass! Here is a large collection of light green, 1920's uranium glass tableware, including the incredibly RARE footed tumblers! This set glows brilliantly under UV light. The pattern, originally known as "Avocado", is also called "Sweet Pear", as the large fruit in the design look very much like pears. The central design is a pair of avocados/pears surrounded by leaves. Purchased from the original owner's family and never used.

The Indiana Glass "Avocado" pattern was introduced in 1923 and produced until 1933.  Considered by many collectors to be one of the first true "Depression glass" patterns, it was originally produced in green and pink, as well as crystal and milk white.  A version of the pattern was reintroduced in 1981 through Tiara Exclusives in a number of additional colors.
