Condition: Very good. Was professionally framed behind glass by The Frame Galleries of Williamsburg, Virginia. Frame has some wear. Please see photos.
Original Artist: Salvator Rosa (Italy, Naples, 1615-1673)
Details: The original rendition of this painting was completed ca. 1640 by Salvator Rosa, best known today as an Italian Baroque painter. His romanticized landscapes and history paintings were often set in dark and untamed nature and exerted considerable influence from the 17th century into the early 19th century. "Landscape with Armed Men" is currently housed at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).
