An incredibly rare, authentic piece of American jewelry history. This original 1920s Art Deco solitaire engagement ring features the highly sought-after, trademarked "Lovebird" motif by the M.G. Jewelry Manufacturing Co.

The Design & Symbolism:
This ring features an exquisite, die-struck narrative pattern along the side profile shoulders. It depicts two symmetrical lovebirds jointly carrying a single flower toward the center basket setting. In the 1920s, this patented "Offering of Love" design symbolized partnership, fidelity, and the building of a shared nest. The central diamond is cradled in a classic geometric, square-box illusion setting typical of the finest Art Deco craftsmanship.

Physical Specifications & Dimensions:
  • Ring Size: 6.5
  • Total Weight: 3.2 grams (A solid, substantial weight for a delicate filigree ring of this era)
  • Top Width: 8.9mm at the widest part of the face, tapering elegantly down the shank
Elite Diamond Quality:
Unlike most antique rings which feature lower-grade, warm-tinted stones, the diamonds in this piece are of elite, premium quality:
  • Center Stone: Authentic Old European Cut (OEC), measuring approximately 4.2mm (~0.28–0.32 ct).
  • Accent Stones: Four (4) single/OEC accent diamonds ranging from 1.0mm to 1.6mm integrated beautifully into the setting.
  • Color Grade: F (Elite Colorless tier—bright, icy-white flash with zero yellow tint).
  • Clarity Grade: VS (Very Slightly Included—completely eye-clean with stunning transparency and brilliance).
Hallmarks & Authenticity:
The inner band is cleanly stamped with the original maker's hallmarks: "MG 18K LOVEBIRD". This confirms its branded pedigree, metal purity (75% pure gold), and historical provenance, making it highly collectible.
Condition:
Beautiful vintage condition with crisp filigree detailing and very light wear consistent with a 100-year-old heirloom. The diamonds are securely set. Please see photos.
