Condition: Excellent antique condition. Very minor surface wear consistent with age and use. No dents or dings. Please see photos. 

Details: Rare coin silver pie server with tipped handle and ornamented blade. Blade is etched with an elaborate scroll and fruit motif including a pineapple, peach, and melon enclosed by a fine scalloped border. Reverse side of handle is monogrammed "E.R." and stamped with "Pear & Bacall" and "Boston".

Edward Pear established his silver shop in 1829, eventually bringing his brother-in-law, Thomas Bacall into the fold in 1848. The partnership lasted until 1875.
