Construction: Solid wood frames with reverse painted glass matting

Details: Hand tinted mezzotints with fine painted enhancements by Richard Houston.

“The Portraiture of Lamprey” Restrike after work by James Seymour. Published 1755. Bred by Sir Matthew Pierson in Yorkshire. Successful 14-miler for Sir William Morgan and a fine stallion before his accidental death.

 “The Portraiture Babraham” Restrike after work by Thomas Spencer. Published 1756. Bred by Francis I 2nd Earl of Godolphin.  A fine horse of great strength, he became a well known breeding stallion in Yorkshire after his racing career.
