- Art Nouveau Artistry: The top of the bulbous handle features an exquisite, high-relief repoussé depiction of a classical maiden with flowing hair, intricately framed by organic whiplash curves and blossoms.
- Elegant Script Monogram: The smooth front face of the sterling handle features a beautifully hand-engraved, standalone period script monogram for the letter "A". The flowing, sweeping flourishes are textbook examples of high-end custom metal engraving from the turn of the century.
- Authentic Hallmarks: The bottom edge is fully stamped on both sides with the iconic interlocking (UB) trademark logo alongside the clear text: "Sterling 925 Fine".

- Missing Matrix: Please note that this listing is for the handle only. The original flat bottom metal matrix plate used for stamping has detached and is missing.
- Internal Fill: The original plaster/cement weighting material is visible and intact inside the hollow base cavity, which is standard construction for weighted silver handles of this era.
- Overall Wear: Shows a beautiful, untouched natural aged patina with crisp details on the repoussé work. Faint surface wear and minor rim dings consistent with a 120+ year old antique desk accessory.
This is a phenomenal restoration candidate for a jeweler to add a custom engraved blank base plate, or a gorgeous addition to any collection of rare Unger Bros. Art Nouveau silver.
