Condition: Very good vintage condition. Allover toning, some minor water and age marks. Very small hole and edge fleabites on upper right side of print. A few nicks and age-related marks on frame. Please see photos.
Details: A lightly hand-colored print from a classic portrait in oil by Adriaen Hanneman, often attributed to Sir Anthony Van Dyck, of William II, Prince of Orange-Nassau. The young man is depicted in 3/4 view, wearing 17th C apparel including an armored breastplate and holding a staff. Highlights are hand colored in white, light blue and red. Just below the bottom left corner of the image is a hand calligraphed legend "By Van Dyck". Below the right corner, in larger larger hand calligraphy, is "Wm II, Prince of Nassau". The wood frame is decorated with a scrolling impressed design.
