Vintage Sterling-Handled Collapsible Walking Stick with Carrying Case

Dimensions:  37 3/4" Long (fully extended), Case - 10" Long x 3 1/2" Wide x 1 1/2" Deep

Condition:  Excellent vintage condition. Handle has a dent in the flat tip and a few small nicks around edge of tip.  A few very minor scratches and nicks in shaft commensurate with age and use. Rubber tip appears to have been replaced. Minor wear on corners of case.  A few whitish spots or stains in one side gusset and on back. Please see photos. 

Details:  Black coated steel walking stick with heavily chased sterling silver semi-arc handle.  Handle is stamped ".925" on tip.  Five-pieces of the shaft are slightly flared at the bottom and tapered at the top, allowing them to fit together securely, and are held together internally by heavy elastic cord. The piece of the shaft under the handle has five equidistant drilled holes to allow height adjustment via a sprung button-lock. A new black rubber tip ensures steady placement during use. 

The case is made of thin black leather textured in a swirling design, decorated with a silver Victorian-style escutcheon at center front. The front and back are semi-rigid, with pleated gusset sides and bottom, and a snap strap closure at the top. Once the pieces are taken apart and folded, they fit into the leather case with the handle extended slightly above the opening.
