Details: Small dark blue unglazed straight sided pitcher with unglazed white grapevine frieze under lip. Neoclassical decoration of women & children. Unglazed white laurel wreath applied over joins of handle to body. Rope-twisted handle. Impressed on the bottom with "Wedgwood" and "Made in England". First developed by Josiah Wedgwood in the 1770's, Jasperware is noted for its unique matte finish formula, cameo-like relief decoration, and neoclassical designs.
