Details: Chatham emeralds are created at Chatham Research Labs in a secret procedure that takes around a year. The procedure begins with a naturally mined Colombian emerald seed in a chromium-rich controlled environment. After the crystals have developed for around nine months, 80% of the rough is cut away to produce faceted emeralds that are more vivid, larger, and cleaner than emeralds produced in nature.
