Condition: Very good pre-owned antique condition. Lid is discolored due to use typical of age. Minor paint loss in several areas. No chips, cracks, or crazing. One hairline crack on the bottom. Signs of wear are consistent with age and gentle use. Please see photos.
Details: Large, low antique porcelain teapot produced in Staffordshire, England circa 1840. Lid and mid-body of the pot are decorated with a repeating rose, tendril, and leaf design. The larger leaves are painted with the same luster glaze used to highlight the trim, spout, handle, and lid. Please note that this item does not have any makers marks or signatures. However, based on our research and experience we feel confident that it is an authentic piece made in Staffordshire. The only seen on the bottom of the base is "29" painted in burgundy glaze.
