Condition: Very good pre-owned antique condition. The key does not work in the lock but works nicely as a pull to open the box. The lid is slightly warped and does not lay flush when closed. Some of the interior burgundy faux lizard skin lining is distressed. The hidden inkwell pen box will not stay hidden because one of the springs is not functioning properly, but it doesn’t affect the functionality of the box. Wood on front corner of base is chipped. Details: At one time a box such as this was vital to any traveling business. A writing instrument holder is attached to the underside of the lid. Three divided folders are built in as well as three small drawers, a document box, fold out lap desk, hidden ink well, and pen box. Inkwells are not included.
